The problem with buying an insta-90

The problem with buying an insta-90 is that it gives Blizzard practically no reason to revise leveling content. Think that grinding 90 levels and 600 skill points is obnoxious? Pony up cash. Don't want to pay anything? Hope you like running the same old zones/dungeons on every new toon.wow gold fr

It's a classic bit of F2P logic. Include an element that's grindy, tedious, or otherwise uncomfortable. Offer to remove it for a bit of real world cash. This is something that devs know about. We know that they know about it. Let's not pretend.

As for the argument that someone could make a separate account and engage in shenanigans so why not just streamline the process, turn the question around. The game was not originally developed to go this high. Admit that the game was wildly successful beyond anyone's initial expectations, and have the insta-90 be available for everyone who already has a level capped character. If people want to skip leveling content and go straight for the endgame, why attach a price tag to it at all?
